Photograph Historic Sites

Discover how to capture the rich history of Nevada and the West’s prehistoric rock art, mining towns, ranches and renovated landmarks through your camera lens. Learn to “freeze history in time” in Mark’s combination classroom slide show lecture and on-site photography of historic ranch buildings. Gain insight into creating a great photograph via lines, patterns, textures and natural light. The class is open to all abilities. Furnish your own field trip gear: camera, transportation, water, snacks, layered clothing, etc.  

This class includes a field shoot. Northern Nevada weather can be unpredictable, and participants may encounter uneven terrain, mud, water, or other outdoor conditions. Please dress appropriately and plan accordingly.
