Basic Life Support Initial Certification

Basic Life Support for  healthcare providers course. Is an instructor led video based course, The BLS Provider course is a prerequisite for entrance into the Health Sciences programs at TMCC, as well as entrance into any clinical setting. In this course students will watch video demonstrations and then get the opportunity to practice hands on skills. The course includes adult, child and infant CPR. You will learn how to use an AED, as well as how to help someone who is choking.

Students must be able to pass skills test, as well as the 25 question multiple choice exam. Passing score for the exam is 84% the exam is open book/ open note the textbook is NOT included in the cost of the course and is required.
