Learn the fundamentals of woodturning in this hands-on introduction to working safely and creatively with wood. Start with proper safety practices and protective equipment, then watch a live demonstration on tool handling, grain direction, shaping, sanding, and finishing techniques. With expert guidance, you’ll turn your own small wooden bowl while gaining confidence and skill in this timeless craft.

Please read:  $30 materials cost is paid directly to the instructor on the first day of class. Registration includes all tools, supplies and safety gear required. Close-toed shoes are mandatory in the wood shop. Students are welcome to bring their own safety glasses, hearing protection if so desired. No turning experience is required.
