
Deepen the bond with your dog and bring joy to the people who may need it most, such as those in hospitals and nursing homes. Become more familiar with canine body language and communication. Prepare to pass the Alliance of Therapy Dogs test by learning about reinforcement schedules to maintain good behavior, and keeping your dog comfortable. Meet with other dog-handler teams and facility staff who are looking for teams to hire. Learn about public access policies, dog advocacy for the public and public education groups you can be a part of. Supplies required.
