This refresher course, at the end of successful completion, will provide 24 hours of continuing education credits. These credits are eligible for those who wish to recertify with the State of Nevada and NREMT. This course covers all of the 24 hours needed for the state of Nevada recertification and/or 20 hours towards the national component and 4 hours towards the state component of NREMT.
This course offers current evidence-based practice to those who need to maintain their certification as an EMT. Those who need to complete a refresher to complete the NREMT cognitive exam can take this course to satisfy those requirements.
Our program is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE), which allows this refresher to be used in other states, as long as it is accepted.
Our course no longer provides CPR recertification, which is required by most states and the NREMT to maintain certification. If you need more information on CPR courses, please visit the following website for more details: https://www.tmcc.edu/emergency-medical-services/cpr/about
