Gain a four-season perspective on getting the most enjoyment out of your outdoor adventures by being prepared for potential emergencies. Discover how to survive adverse conditions in the mountains and desert, in the snow, in the water, or in the summertime. Extra attention will be given to our summertime climate dealing with hot, dry, low humidity, and limited water sources. During the lecture, become comfortable with basic survival tactics from a seasoned outdoorsman as well as a USMC colonel who ran the Marine Mountain Survival Center. Find out about food, water and what you should bring with you when you head out into nature. Then, go outdoors and practice building shelters and fires.
