Under the guidance of an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you'll develop the skills needed to succeed in private practices, clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare settings. Through 144 hours of lecture and lab instruction, you'll gain hands-on experience in vital signs measurement, medication administration, medical record keeping, specimen preparation, patient preparation, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, pharmacology, and the cardiac life cycle.

In addition, you'll complete specialized EKG training designed to prepare you for the National Healthcareer Association's Certified EKG Technician (CET) examination. EKG technicians play an important role in patient care by performing electrocardiograms that help healthcare providers monitor and diagnose heart conditions.

Completers can expect to sit confidently for both the National Healthcareer Association's Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) examination and Certified EKG Technician (CET) examination.

Program Cost: $5,499. Includes textbook, online resources, labs, NHA CCMA exam cost (first attempt; retakes are the responsibility of the student), EKG training, and one NHA CET exam voucher.
