American Heart Association BLS RENEWAL ( AHA BLS) current card holders only

The American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers Recertification course reviews adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve-mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation. You must provide a copy of your current valid American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR card/eCard at time of registration to be eligible for the renewal course.


Students must have the appropriate workbook prior to attending class, and must have access to it throughout class.
  • Basic Life Support Student Workbook (2015) may be purchased at the TMCC Bookstore.

Course Cards

  • Participants who complete the BLS course and pass the written exam with 84% or higher will receive a Basic Life Support Provider completion card (credential), which is good for a two year period.
