Maximize your career readiness with our most comprehensive healthcare training pathway. The Clinical Medical Assistant + EKG Certification + Internship program combines classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory training, specialized EKG education, and real-world clinical experience to help you stand out in today's competitive healthcare job market.
Under the guidance of an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you'll complete 144 hours of lecture and lab instruction covering vital signs measurement, medication administration, medical record keeping, specimen preparation, patient preparation, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, pharmacology, and the cardiac life cycle.
You'll also complete specialized EKG training designed to prepare you for the National Healthcareer Association's Certified EKG Technician (CET) examination, allowing you to earn credentials in two in-demand healthcare disciplines.
To further strengthen your preparation for employment, you'll have the opportunity to participate in an approximately 80-hour internship at a participating healthcare facility. Employers consistently seek candidates who can demonstrate both knowledge and experience. The internship allows you to apply your skills in a professional setting, gain confidence, build industry connections, and enhance your résumé before entering the workforce. Students who successfully complete the internship will receive a Certificate of Completion documenting their clinical experience. Internship placements are subject to application, screening, successful completion of program requirements, and site availability.
Completers can expect to sit confidently for both the National Healthcareer Association's Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) examination and Certified EKG Technician (CET) examination.
Program Cost: $5,799. Includes textbook, online resources, labs, NHA CCMA exam cost (first attempt; retakes are the responsibility of the student), EKG training, one NHA CET exam voucher, and internship placement support.
